Roots are a poor source of food. They are gathered commonly from Underwoods, and from defeated gray dwarves.
Roots restore a low amount of Stamina, fill a poor amount of Hunger, and have a chance to inflict you with Stomach Problems.
Because of this, Roots should only be used by a village desperate for food. They have a relatively high weight for a type of food (5 weight), and players should consider leaving them where they are found if it would increase your Loaded condition.
